About Dee

I’m Dee Morgan (she/they), owner of QPK Counselling. I’ve been a practicing counsellor since late 2015, supporting people in Auckland who are part of the gender, sexual and relationship minority communities (or who are exploring their identities).

I’ve been a part of the Auckland kink community for nearly 15 years, polyamorous since 2003, and have identified as a non-heterosexual for about as long (pansexual queer is the label that currently suits me the best). This means that I have plenty of lived experience of being queer, polyam and kinky, and I have chosen a field where I am able to provide support and guidance for others.

I have a degree in communication from Unitec and a diploma in counselling from NZIPC. I am MNZAC registered with NZ Association of Counsellors, and I follow the NZAC Code of Ethics.

On a personal note: I live with chronic migraine and other invisible illnesses, so by providing appointments every other day I can limit my energy expenditure and give all my focus to the client I am with. I am very sensitive to aromas, and ask that perfume and/or aftershave is not worn by my clients for face-to-face sessions (deodorant is fine). And yes, I’m a big fan of parasols, hence the logo, theme, and tattoo!
